It all began with a clear ambition: to push the limits of what technology can offer in the medical field. SKINAPTIKS was born from the desire to turn technological expertise into concrete solutions capable of meeting the complex challenges faced by healthcare professionals.

Initially, our team focused on a pioneering research project: equipping robots with fine tactile perception through an electronic skin. This project, carried out by Cyril Bounakoff during his doctoral research, aimed to enable machines to perform dexterous tasks and interact more naturally with humans. Guided by renowned mentors such as François Michaud for robotics, Jacques Beauvais for micro-technology, Jonathan Genest for innovation, and Vincent Hayward for haptics, we quickly realized that this innovation could have an impact far beyond robotics.
